Here's something you don't see very often: people standing closer than 6 feet apart. But back in 2012, that's exactly what you did when you interviewed a band at the Orion festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to shoot these guys playing their set, but I did manage to capture the post-rock interview conducted by photojournalist Josh Pelta-Heller. Super friendly and accommodating, it was a pleasure to document and listen in on.

One of the best decisions I've ever made was to begin the journey of jiu jitsu. It's positive effects on the mind and the body are immeasurable. I'm a member at the acclaimed Ricardo Almeida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy, and despite the bruises, soreness and sore throats, I'll never look back. These are a few shots from live training after one of the black belt classes.

Took a nice trip to a couple wildlife refuges down in south Jersey. Managed to see or photograph 35 different bird species that day. Saw my first (and only) official Baltimore Oriole here. I won't post any pics of the thing though because they're simply not post-worthy. Instead, I'll hang up these egrets and ibis' and one very black snake...
